That's Gemini Omni, Google's new multimodal-in, video-out model, announced at I/O 2026.

Myth #1 - "Omni replaces Veo."

Veo 3.1 is still Google's deep cinematic engine and lives inside Flow. Omni is the conversational, multimodal-in front door - short clips, fast iteration.

Myth #2 - "10 seconds means it's a toy."

The 10-second cap is a product choice for social-first creation, not a technical limit. Most viral clips today are under 10 seconds anyway.

Myth #3 - "You need an API key."

Not to start. YouTube Shorts and the Create app expose Omni Flash for free. You can ship a clip without touching a developer console.
