SkillTycoon publishes the courses on this site. It is not a university, and it is not accredited by anyone — finishing a course here is not a qualification.

It is currently a very small team. If you email us, a person who works on the product reads it — there is no support queue to disappear into.

The courses are free to take. There is no advertising, no paywall, and no upsell — we do not sell or rent your data, and we do not share it with data brokers or ad networks. The privacy notice is the binding version of that statement, and it is written from the code rather than from a template.

The first lesson of every course is free to read with no account at all. Read it, and if the course is not for you, close the tab. You only need to sign in past the first lesson, and the only reason is so your progress is saved and you can pick a course back up later.

Each course is written as a structured sequence of interactive blocks — explanations, questions, drag-and-drop exercises, prompts you write yourself and the course checks. Courses use guided progression by default: the player reveals one block at a time and will not advance until you have completed the activity in front of you.

Some courses begin life as research into a topic. Others start from a public talk or walkthrough, which is analysed and then rebuilt as an original interactive course.

We are working through the catalogue to name the original creator on every course that was built that way, and to confirm permission where we have not. If you made something one of our courses was built from, and you want it credited differently or taken down, email us and we will act on it. That is a commitment about what we will do, not a claim that the work is already finished.

Plenty of this category oversells. Some things we deliberately do not say, because they are not true:

• No certificate. Finishing a course does not produce a credential, because there is no accreditation behind one and we will not print something that implies otherwise.
• No job promises. A short course does not get anyone hired, and we have no evidence to offer that would suggest otherwise.
• No claims about how many people have finished. The honest number is small. When it is worth publishing, we will publish it.
• No publishing schedule. New courses arrive when they are good, not on a cadence. We removed a weekly-cadence claim from this site for exactly that reason.

Questions, corrections, or something on the site that looks wrong — tech@skilltycoon.com. If you have found a factual error in a course, that is the most useful email you can send us, and it goes to the top of the list.
